We recommend that you use the Web Update command on VisiMap Professional 4.1's Help menu to update your copy. This will automatically find the appropriate update file to download, perform the download, and install it on your computer.

Alternatively, you can download and install SP-1 update manually. There are two editions of SP-1 update available for download, and the one you should choose depends on whether you installed VisiMap Professional 4.1 from the multi-user distribution kit or from the single-user distribution kit.

If you are in doubt about which kit you installed from, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CoCo Systems\Installers folder directly under your Program Files folder. This would normally be:

but this may differ on your computer (especially on non-English installations of Windows). Once you have navigated to this folder, you will find a sub-folder named either of the following:

VisiMap Pro 4.1 (English, Multi-User Install)

or

VisiMap Pro 4.1 (English, Single-User Install)

This will indicate which distribution kit you installed VisiMap Professional 4.1 from. Download and install the appropriate update as described in the following:

After installation of the update VisiMap Pro should, on the ‘splash screen’ and About box, report its version as 4.1 SP-1 (Build 1320).

Changes in 4.1a

Service Pack 1 includes the following:

• The Web Update feature no longer creates an (empty) updates folder below the main VisiMap Pro installation folder.
• The text in the final page of the Web Update wizard has been corrected.
• Eliminated possible exception when attempting to import a file.
• When exporting to Word, rare exception when exporting style colours has been fixed.
• In HTML-exported pages, the image map hotspot dimensions for maps in text outline view have been fixed.
• Spaces in filenames referred to by HTML-exported maps are now handled correctly.
• Minor fixes to the notes livespell facility.
• Fixed issue where, when launching an Outlook item, the item would sometimes display in plain text (rather than HTML) and erroneously appear as a draft message waiting to be sent.
• VisiMap Pro is now more resilient to buggy printer drivers that prevent successful startup. If VisiMap Pro freezes on startup because of a faulty driver it will, on restarting, offer the user the option of excluding the affected printer from use. Excluded printers can subsequently be re-enabled via the General Options tree in the Preferences form.
• The Add Link and Link Properties forms will remember the folder last used for adding a map link.
